How To Never Talk To Other People Again
Cyan links are links to other websites. Red links are internal links.
It contains references to self harm, suicide, generative AI, and consumption of NSFW material. There is no direct NSFW material, but some of the cyan links lead to very NSFW discussion of NSFW material. I did not use generative AI to make this, but some of the cyan links lead to very AI-generated discussion of AI-generated material.
It was written and coded in 4 hours but I had the articles lying around for longer. The author's note was not part of this 4 hours.
Author's note
I want to make one thing clear: There is a recently published Harpers' article referenced in this whose main thrust I strongly disagree with, even though it is funny and well-written. I've seen it being shared across the internet, and most of the people doing the sharing are reactionary anti-porn types who would support the NSFW ban on itch and Steam. The reactions the article has garnered mostly consist of horror at the younger generations for being "brainrotted" unintellectual, unproductive members of society, and occasionally calling for a ban on porn, or on BDSM, or on internet usage for minors, or other absurd and dangerous policies. As is usual with these types of debates, anyone who pushes back is accused of being a porn addict.
The more time I spend online, the more tired I get of self-congratulatory fearmongering. A while ago I saw a post online that, while it has some points I disagree with, made an interesting argument about "anti-intellectualism" and the accusations thereof that often get thrown at people now, especially younger people. The post is linked here.
Some parts of this are autobiographical and some are not. Happy Halloween.

Wow, a very eerie and thought-provoking experience. I like the clever merging of the real and slightly-less-real. You've clearly done a lot of research to create such a meaningful piece, good job.
